Love this place! We’ve been going for 8 years and can’t recommend it enough. Their babchan is extremely generous and they offer a small/medium sized fish as part of their banchan! The banchan includes yummy cucumbers, tofu, kimchi, and bean sprouts. They consistently refill them! They also provide tea and rice for free as part of the tofu soup order. Would highly recommend the fish egg tofu soup at medium spice. (They also have bibimbap and scallion pancake)

The best Korean restaurant in the city, tofu house. We usually come here about 3 to 4 times a year. The tofu dumplings soup is my family favorite. Three of us this time, ordered Kim chi soup, Ramon noodles and dumplings, all mild. Also had short ribs m, very very good and veggi pancakes. Ordered too much food so had left over for next day lunch. Dumplings tofu soup is must have Usually has a line, waited about 30mins but worth it. The service is red carpet. They focus one customer at a time. Very good service !!!!

Tasty Korean food and a lot of it. The side dishes are lovely and they gave each of us a yellow croaker (fish) which is nice. Tofu soup is comforting and salty. The dolsot bibimbap is great when you get crispy rice (don’t stir the outside for ten minutes). The only weird item is the seafood pajeon, which is VERY thick. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but is not really what I expected. Staff was friendly to us and accommodated the children that were with us.

Solid place for Korean food. Everything we ordered tasted great with a great portion. Galbi is particularly tender and juicy. Of course, the tofu soup is the staple here that you shouldn't miss. Still the steal of the show is the banchan, especially the fish cakes! It is warm, thick, and flavorful! Another thing I like here is the hospitality of the hosts here. They are attentive and helpful. This is definitely one of the authentic Korean restaurants I am willing to come back in SF.

When I need a comforting meal, I come here. Delicious banchan, rice made fresh in a stonepot and they even make you nurungji at the end of the meal The Oi Muchim and fried fish banchan are my fav. The stews come out boiling hot with the most amazing silken tofu. Bibimbap loaded with healthy veg, BBQ plates steaming with piles of juicy marinated meats, and thick crispy pancakes stuffed with goodies.

This place has a special place in my heart. Just classic soon tofu and what I like most is that they do the nunungi, not sure how to spell that. But it’s a good spot. It feels like home if that makes sense. I’m definitely bias because I’ve been coming here for all my life but I just love this place. It definitely is not the best Korean food or the best soon tofu or anything spectacular but you know what you’re going to get and I like what I am going to get. My Beli gave it a 7.5, I think it’s more like a 8.5 because I’d prefer this place over so many others even if they are more expensive or fancy. This is definitely an experience and nostalgic place for me.

A go-to spot for serious Korean comfort food in SF. The soondubu is deeply savory with a clean, well-balanced broth and silky tofu that melts in your mouth. Banchan are thoughtfully prepared and always fresh, not an afterthought. Everything arrives bubbling hot and perfectly seasoned. Consistently satisfying and worth coming back for again and again.

Vegan tofu soup options, vegan option for the vegetable pancake (no egg), and bibimbap. All delicious! Although the broth needs more flavor and seasoning if they can replace the fish sauce / meat seasoning. Friendly service, but very busy and a bit slower during dinner hours. We came around 7 and got in without a wait but quickly had a line between 7:30-8:30pm
